PDP members clean up Jos venue used by APC for the Jos presidential flag-off.

 

Barely 24 hours after the All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential flagged off its presidential campaign in the Plateau capital, many Jos residents, majorly youths, who are supporters of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in their numbers trooped to the Rawang Pam stadium, the venue of the campaign flag-off to engage in a cleansing exercise.

Newsonline reports that several of the support groups of the PDP who were among the youths said their action was to show their commitment to voting out the APC in Plateau, in the next political dispensation.

Kamru Sani, the Director General of, the Atiku Motivational Movement said the action was meant to sweep out what the APC brought to the state, NAN reports.

 

Sani stated that Plateau is a stronghold of the PDP, and is set to return to its winning ways.

“We are here to sweep out all they brought here, as PDP is for Plateau and Nigeria.”

“The party is set to be on winning ways again, as it has shown that it is the true party for the state.

“The party will bring relief to the sufferings that citizens of the state and Nigeria have had to endure in the last seven years,” he said.

 

Also speaking, Mohammed Hassan, national coordinator, of the PDP youth Amendment Movement, said the move would protect the future of the youths in Nigeria.

Hassan said Nigerians are witnesses to the type of leadership experience in the last seven years and called on Nigerians to vote for PDP in 2023.

Buhari, Adamu, Tinubu flag off APC presidential campaign in Jos

President Muhammadu Buhari and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, On Tuesday, led governors of the party, ministers, National Working Committee members, and other party leaders to Jos, Plateau State to flag off the presidential campaign rally of the party.

During the rally, held at Jos Township Stadium, Buhari, assisted by Adamu, handed over the party’s flag to Asiwaju Tinubu.

 

The flag-off had in attendance vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, Senate President Ahmed Lawan and Speaker of the House Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.

In attendance were Governors Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq (Kwara); Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano); Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna); Abubakar Sani-Bello (Niger); Yahaya Bello (Kogi); Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa) and Ben Ayade (Cross Rivers).

Others were: Governors Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi); Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa); Lagos State Deputy Governor, Femi Hamzat; former Bauchi governor, Mohammed Abubakar; former Ekiti governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi; former governor of Borno, Modu Ali-Sheriff and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

Also present were: Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the APC presidential candidate; Hajiya Nana Shettima, wife of the vice presidential candidate (both of who also addressed the rally) and Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos.
