PDP Crisis: Atiku, Ayu Celebrate Wike, Makinde, Others Peace Overtures

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar and the National Chairman, Ayu Iyorchia, have both celebrated Wike and his camp’s move to give peace a chance.

Newsonline reports that expressed gratitude to the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and his camp members, stating that at no time was the door of peace shut against Wike and his camp members.

Governor Wike and his camp members, including, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, had remained stuck in their demand for the resignation of the PDP national chairman, Ayu Iyorchia.

Wike and his camp are of the argument that the North cannot produce the presidential candidate of the party and retain the position of the national chairman of the party.
