Fourteen days before the official lifting of the ban on party campaigns for the 2023 general election, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorcha Ayu has handed over to his deputy.

Newsonline reports that Ayu has jetted out to Ethiopia where he will stay for two weeks before coming back.

This was contained in a statement by the Ayu Special Adviser Media and Communication, Simon Iimobi-Tswam, on Tuesday.

While the statement did not state the reason for the travel, it said the PDP Deputy Chairman, North, Amb. Iliya Damagun, will be in charge of the party in accordance with the PDP constitution.
