Newsonline reports that the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, has congratulated the Ekiti State election winner, stating that more is to come.
Abdullahi Adamu stated that the victory of Oyebanji and the APC is the product of Oyebanji’s popularity and the party’s strategic planning.
In a congratulatory statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Muhammad Nata’ala Keffi quoted Senator Adamu as saying the strong campaign strategies put in place by the APC.
Adamu stated that “the victory is a precursor to expected victories of the APC at the Osun election later this year and at the 2023 general elections”.
The National Chairman also stated that President Muhammadu Buhari, “who as leader of the APC, provided guidance for the Party in the Ekiti State election.”
Adamu assured President Buhari that his leadership with the national Working Committee will continue to be guided by his wisdom in prosecuting all future elections for the consolidation of his legacies.
Newsonline reports that Osun gubernatorial election will hold in the coming months, while the general election will hold in February 2023.
The victory of Oyebanji, in an election marred by allegations of vote-buying, is the first election to be won by the ruling All Progressive Congress, since the assumption of office by Abdullahi Adamu as National Chairman.
National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu disclosed in a letter of congratulations to the Governor-elect, Biodun Oyebanji, that the All Progressive Congress has set winning motion on course by strong campaign strategy that will ensure the party wins Osun gubernatorial election and the February general election.
