Kayode Akinyemi Mourns Mother’s Passing

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Kayode Akinyemi has mourned his mother’s passing.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Lagos-based public relations consultant and former Head of Corporate Communications at the defunct Skye Bank (now Polaris Bank), Kayode Akinyemi, has announced the passing of his beloved mother, Mrs. Victoria Oja Bodunde Akinyemi.

 

She died peacefully in the early hours of Friday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 85.

A devout Christian, Mrs. Akinyemi was a longstanding member of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Iyanu, Afao-Ekiti. She served faithfully as a representative of the Good Women Society and was also a dedicated member of the church choir for many years.

 

Beyond the church, she was a respected community leader and philanthropist. She held the title of Iya Egbe (Chairlady) of the Egbe Igbotoluwa in Afao-Ekiti, a position she occupied with distinction and compassion.

 

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

 

May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
