All Progressive Congress, APC, National Chairman, Adamu Abdullahi has disclosed that the internal crisis in the party was responsible for the party’s defeat in the concluded Osun governorship election.

Newsonline reports that Senator Adamu, former governor of Nasarawa State said with the party still having 21 states across the country, the 2023 general election will be a win for them.

Senator Adamu said the ruling party is working hard to ensure it resolves its internal crisis and brace up for the 2023 general election.

Adamu who stated this while speaking to BBC Hausa, said, the APC had a massive gathering of supporters a few days before the Osun governorship election, but for the internal crisis, they would not lose the election.

“We lost the race not because we are incapable but because of the crisis within. We had a massive gathering of supporters a few days before the election in Osogbo. No one could ever anticipate that we would lose the election.

“Osun defeat doesn’t in any way mean that we will lose at the general election. We only lost one state out of the 22 we have; you see, we are still strong.”
