The Oluwo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to make Nigeria a police state to combat rising insecurity in the country.

Newsonline reports that Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi called on President Buhari to order the recruitment of five million police personnel to aid the low manpower of the security unit.

In a statement signed by Alli Ibraheem, the Oluwo Media Aide, in Osogbo, Osun capital, the traditional ruler called on the president to put measures in place to save the country from collapsing.

Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi blamed the rising insecurity on the low manpower of the present police force which he said cannot give robust output in combating crimes and criminality.

“Operation carry your identification card must be enforced. With this, criminals and bandits will find it difficult to move around us.”
