Danny Simpson Slams EPL Side For Selling Best Player

Former Leicester City defender, Danny Simpson has slammed the club for allowing the ‘best’ player, goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel leave the club.

Newsonline report that Simpson said the goalkeeper’s departure from the club has impacted the Foxes’ start to the season.

Leicester City is currently sitting comfortably at the bottom of the Premier League table, having lost five of their opening six games.

The Foxes suffered 5-2 bashing in the hands of Brighton on Sunday and there has been a call for Manager, Brendan Rodgers to leave the club.

“When you do lose your best players, and when I say best players I’m not just talking on the pitch, off the pitch as well,” Simpson said.

“Kasper Schmeichel, I think he’s been Leicester’s best player over the last couple of years, making save after save.

“Sometimes when you lose that… that alone can hurt as well.”
