President Tinubu has hinted at an incoming massive Police Recruitment.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Federal Government has promised to provide more equipment and resources to the Nigeria Police Force.

President Bola Tinubu made the pledge on Saturday at the graduation ceremony of 478 students of Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.

He said the equipment and resources were to enable the Nigeria Police Force to discharge its responsibilities more effectively.

Tinubu, who was represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, stressed the importance of shunning corruption and upholding the highest level of professionalism in the discharge of their responsibilities.

He said, “We are also embarking on a massive recruitment drive into the Police Force aimed at empowering our youth to participate in national security efforts.”

The president urged graduates to adhere strictly to the ethics of modern policing in the discharge of their duties.

He expressed confidence that the officers had received enough training, both academically and professionally, to make a positive impact on the country’s security architecture.

Tinubu assured that the Federal Government would continue to support the academy, which he described as one of the best training grounds for police officers in Sub-Saharan Africa.

He, therefore, charged the new officers to prioritise the nation’s interests and discharge their constitutional responsibilities and to work dedication and commitment.

As you graduate today, you are not just receiving a certificate, but also becoming ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Service.

“I charge you to discharge your primary duties with compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

“Remember that you are the face of the police service, and your actions will reflect on the institution and the nation as a whole,” he said.

While congratulating the graduands, Tinubu urged them to “Go forth and serve with honour, dignity, and respect for all Nigerians.
