President Tinubu has announced seven massive appointments.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu has appointed Attahiru Jega, the former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as the adviser and coordinator for livestock reforms in Nigeria.

This move is aimed at improving the country’s livestock sector, which has faced challenges over the years.

Jega previously served as co-chairman of the presidential livestock reforms implementation committee.

His new role will focus on implementing strategies to boost livestock farming and address conflicts between herders and farmers.

In another development, Tinubu has appointed six new Chief Medical Directors (CMDs) for federal hospitals in different states.

The newly appointed CMDs will lead hospitals in Akure, Gombe, Azare, Lafiya, Maiduguri, and Kafanchan.

Prof. Olusegun Sylvester Ojo has been named CMD of the Federal Teaching Hospital in Akure, Ondo State.

Prof. Yusuf Mohammed Abdullahi has been reappointed to lead the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe after a successful first term.

Dr. Dauda Abubakar Katagum, who had been serving in an acting capacity, has now been confirmed as the substantive CMD of the Federal Teaching Hospital in Azare, Bauchi State.

Dr. Ikrama Hassan has been appointed as the CMD of the Federal Teaching Hospital in Lafiya, Nasarawa State.

Dr. Ali Mohammed Ramat will head the newly established National Orthopaedic Hospital in Maiduguri, Borno State, while Dr. Haruna Abubakar Shehu has been appointed CMD of the Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.

The appointments, which are for a four-year term, are expected to improve healthcare services and strengthen hospital management in the affected regions.
