BREAKING: NFF Appoints German Bruno Labbadia New Super Eagles Coach

“The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that it has reached an agreement with German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, to become the Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team, Super Eagles.

NFF has appointed German Bruno Labbadia as the new Super Eagles Coach.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of a German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, as the new Super Eagles coach, with immediate effect.

 

This Nigeria news platform understands that the Secretary General of the NFF, Mohammed Sanusi made the announcement in an early morning tweet on Tuesday via the NFF’s X handle.

The statement reads: “The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that it has reached an agreement with German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, to become the Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team, Super Eagles.

 

“The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development sub-committee to appoint Mr Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles.”

Labbadia becomes the 37th Head Coach of the Super Eagles after the resignation of Finidi George.

With the appointment, Labbadia will lead the Super Eagles to execute the matches coming matches for the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Nigerian team will play a home game against Benin Republic on September 7 at the Nest of Champions, Uyo before travelling to Rwanda for their next match three days later.

 

The Super Eagles camp is expected to open on September 1 in Uyo.
