The Argentine captain left Camp Nou as a free agent in the summer transfer window this year after his contract was allowed to expire.

Speaking ahead of PSG’s Champions League tie with Manchester City on Wednesday, Messi insisted that Barcelona was his home.

“I have always said that I was going to return to Barcelona in some moment because it was my home and I lived there,” Messi told El Larguero via Mundo Deportivo.

“I would always like to help the club in whatever way I can and obviously, if I can contribute and help the club, I would love to return.”
