BREAKING: INEC Headquarter Under Gunmen Attack

INEC Headquarter is currently under Gunmen attack in Owerri, Imo State capital.

 

 

NewsOnline reports that an unprovoked attempt to wreak havoc on the facility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Owerri, Imo State capital, Southern East Nigeria was halted by security agents on Monday morning, December 12th, 2022.

 

Reports reaching NewsOnline Nigeria revealed that some unknown gunmen attempted to attack the electoral body office headquarters at Port-Harcourt road in the wee hours of Monday.

According to reports, the assailants met heavy resistance from gallant officers of the Nigeria Police Force manning the facility before reinforcement could even come from other quarters.

 

“They were many in numbers, we heard several gunshots,we were very afraid, but the police did not allow them this time”, Daily Sun quoted a source saying.
