BREAKING: FG Opens Portal For Nationwide Recruitment Of Health Fellows

FG has opened the portal for nationwide recruitment of Health Fellows.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the government of President Bola Tinubu has commenced the recruitment process for young Nigerians as National Health Fellows.

 

The recruitment is tagged the National Health Fellows Program and is under the coordination of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

The Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who made the disclosure on Monday, said successful applicants would be remunerated and equipped with appropriate tools to drive positive change in the health sector.

 

He added that selected fellows would be aged between 25 and 35, and would be engaged in all the 774 local government areas in the country.

 

The deadline for application is 27th January, 2025.

Eligibility Requirements For The Programme

1. Must be between the ages of 25 and 35.

2. Bachelor’s degree (health-related, IT, or social sciences).

3. Demonstrable interest/ or Experience in Public health OR health-related NGO and partner organisations OR community projects that demonstrate leadership and initiative.

4. Candidates must be available to participate full-time in the fellowship programme.

5. Candidates must be an indigene of the state being applied for.

6. Candidates must possess smartphones with data capabilities i.e. for WhatsApp, Zoom etc.

7. Recommendation from the University Dean OR NYSC place of primary assignment, or a respected organisation demonstrating character and leadership.

8. Demonstrated analytical skills and entrepreneurial drive
