FG has introduced new policy to reduce drug prices in Nigeria.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Federal Government has introduced a new policy called Medipool to help bring down the prices of medicines and medical supplies in Nigeria.

The decision was made during the Federal Executive Council meeting led by President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja on Monday.

The Medipool policy is set up to allow group buying of essential medical items, which could make them cheaper and more available across the country.

The plan involves buying in bulk from suppliers so that the prices become more affordable for both hospitals and individuals.

It also aims to make sure that key drugs and healthcare items get to areas where they are most needed without delays or inflated costs.
