Bandits said that they shoot down Nigerian Air Force Aircraft in Niger.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that bandits have claimed responsibility for the crashed surveillance helicopter in Badna, Chukuba ward of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

This Nigeria News platform recalls that a surveillance helicopter crashed in Badna, Mina, on Monday

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, while meeting with the Niger State governor in his office, Abuja, stated that weather conditions, among others, may have contributed to the helicopter crash, adding that investigation had commenced to determine the probable cause of the incident.

But terrorists, in a two-minute-and-seventeen-second video, claimed they brought down the jet using an AK-47 rifle.

The narrator in the video, who spoke in Hausa, said they belonged to Dogo Gide group, one of the notorious bandits that have been terrorising parts of Niger State, causing deaths of many farmers and security operatives.
