ADC has disowned fake list of state chairmen and warned against online fraud.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has disowned a list of purported state chairmen making the rounds on social media, warning Nigerians to disregard the unauthorized information.

In a statement released by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC categorically denied knowledge of any such appointments, describing the viral list as fake news.

“The ADC wishes to make it known to the public that the party is not aware of any appointment of state chairmen as being circulated on social media,” Abdullahi stated.

The party urged the public to verify all official communications through the verified X (formerly Twitter) handle of the National Publicity Secretary, @BolajiADC.

In addition, the ADC raised the alarm over fraudulent online registration platforms, describing them as schemes set up to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians into paying money under the pretense of party registration.

“These platforms are fictitious and aimed at swindling people. The ADC strongly condemns such activities and advises Nigerians to be vigilant,” the statement added.

The party assured that all legitimate information regarding its activities and the coalition of opposition parties will be communicated through official and verifiable channels.

This warning comes amid increased political activity and misinformation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
