UNL’s Christoph Baumgartner has apologized to Martin Odegaard, stressing the injury was unintentional.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that Austrian star Christoph Baumgartner has issued an apology to Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard for his involvement in the incident that led to Odegaard’s injury.

The two players faced off during the UEFA Nations League clash between Norway and Austria, where Odegaard and his Norwegian teammates secured a 2-1 victory on Monday.

RB Leipzig’s Christoph Baumgartner took to Instagram to offer a sincere apology to Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard following their recent clash that led to Odegaard’s injury.

In his message, Baumgartner expressed regret over the incident, emphasizing that causing harm was never his intention. He wrote, “Hi guys! I would like to sincerely apologize to Martin Odegaard. It was never my intention to injure this fantastic player.”

Baumgartner concluded his post by wishing Odegaard a speedy recovery and a strong comeback, adding, “I wish him all the best and a speedy recovery! Come back stronger @odegaard.”
