The capital of the United Kingdom (UK), London seems to be the deciding destination for the 2023 election, as presidential candidates, Atiku, Peter Obi, Tinubu and former president Obasanjo are currently in the Britain capital holding series of political meetings.

Newsonline reports that while the presidential candidates, governor, and ex-governors are working to reach or form political alliance, presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC) Sowore has blasted them for not taking the economy of the country into consideration and the plight of the masses.

While governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday, along with other governors including Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State went to meet with the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu for political alliance; Atiku Abubakar, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, also left the country for London to find ways of mending the broken walls between him and Wike.

Though Peter Obi, the choice of the youths, tweeted On Thursday, that he was leaving the country for the United States, but would have a light drop at Germany.

“En route to the U.S.A, I’ll make a pit stop in Germany to interact with Nigerians in Germany. I hold Nigerians in Diaspora in very high esteem; they represent the core of our human development capital and contribute immensely to nation-building via remittances and technical knowledge transfer. My present outing will take me to Germany, Italy, Canada and the U.S.A. I look forward to the very constructive engagement,” he wrote on his social media handle.

However, a photo, posted by a social media handle purported to belong to the former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, showed the Labour Party candidate with Obasanjo, Oyo governor, Seyi Makinde, Abia governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, Benue governor, Samuel Ortom, and Wike.

Reacting to the photo making round on social media, Sowore on Thursday, wrote, “These are the special citizens of Nigeria earning maximum wage! The wages of these individuals meeting in London to decide your “fate” is way more than those of Nigerian workers in 10 states of the federation in 1 month.

“In fact, their cost of private jet transportation to the UK is more that the education budget of some states in a year!”

Sowore, in the morning of Thursday, asked Nigerians to question the presidential candidates on their plans concerning the minimum wage for workers as the economy is bleeding.

“This morning you should ask all the Presidential candidates what’s the ideal minimum wage they recommend for Nigerian workers? “A labourer is worthy of his hire” Considering the cost of living and currency value today in Nigeria no worker should earn less than N100k minimum wage,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.
