Atiku has spoken on cancelling Npower as FG spends N30b Monthly on paying beneficiaries.

 

 

NewsOnline reports that the Lagos Npower page on Facebook shared an update that Atiku Talk On Npower Cancelation, and FG talk about Spending N30b Monthly on beneficiaries stipends. Read details below.

The Npower Programme from all sense has temporarily helped Nigeria youths tackle poverty, the initiator of the programme, however, needs to do more to make the Programme more effective.

 

Haven said that the statement made by the former presidential candidate of the PDP Party is what is generating a lot of traction right now. According to Atiku, we will cancel the Npower program to avoid the extravagance of the economy of the nation.

 

Before the last election, Atiku Abubakar faults the Social intervention Programme of President Buhari “Npower”. He said he noted that with National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) revelation that 7.9 million Nigerians had lost their jobs in the last 21 months, giving people handouts through N-Power would not solve unemployment. The Federal government has said it spends N30 billion monthly on N-Power beneficiaries’ stipends. This was disclosed by the minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, during the closing ceremony of the 3 000 N-Power beneficiaries trained on hardware, software engineering under NTech in Abuja.

 

 

Npower News: NASIMS Initiates Npower Batch C1 October Payment Process

The minister who was represented by the national coordinator, National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), Dr. Umar Bindr, said about 1million Nigerians are beneficiaries of the N-Power yearly which has contributed greatly towards lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty a program initiated by President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.

 

Before Npower Programme was created by the APC government, there was Sure-p which was created by the PDP government which was scraped and replaced by Npower.
It seems every new government has its own plan for the youth.
