APC has ratified the suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Kunle Folarin over anti-party allegations.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has upheld the suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Kunle Folarin by their respective wards for alleged anti-party activities.

In a statement on Tuesday, the party’s Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, said the decision was ratified at a meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC) chaired by APC State Chairman, Yemi Sanusi, with 16 members present.

The statement noted that disciplinary committees in Ward IV and Ward VI of Sagamu Local Government investigated allegations of misconduct and anti-party activities against Daniel and Folarin, respectively.

According to the report, both men were invited to defend themselves but failed to respond, submit a written defence, or attend the disciplinary hearings.

“After considering witness testimonies and documentary evidence, the committees recommended their suspension. The SWC has now ratified this decision in line with the party’s constitution,” the statement read.

The suspension of the two members remains indefinite, pending further investigation and the final outcome of the disciplinary process.
