2023 Election: Tinubu Owes Nigerians Sincere Apology For Bringing Plague, Not Ambition- Coalition

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has been asked to apologize to Nigerians for bringing plague, President Buhari, on Nigerians in 2015 election.

Newsonline reports that the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) stated this in a statement while commenting on the presidential ambition of the former governor of Lagos State.

The coalition stated that Tinubu’s presidential ambition is an insult to the entire Nigerians who deserve better leadership.

The coalition stated that Nigerians allowing Tinubu to become president come the 2023 election is akin to allowing affliction to befall the country the second time.

In a statement issued by its President-General, Goodluck Ibem, the coalition called on Bola Tinubu to swap his ambition to lead the country with an apology for his role in bringing President Buhari in 2015.

COSEYL insisted that the APC national leader “owes Nigerians a sincere apology for bringing such plague upon the nation”, stressing that “his presidential ambition is an insult to the entire Nigerians especially the youths.

“We the youths of Igbo nation will not allow affliction the second time upon us. Never. We must have made our mistakes in 2015, but we are wiser now. Youths cannot be deceived again with the usual monetary inducement; it is the time of the youth to take back our nation.”

The coalition called on organizations and groups promoting Tinubu’s presidential ambition to desist from such and engage in meaningful endeavors.

“We call on any organization, groups or persons promoting the presidential ambition of Senator Tinubu to come back to their senses and engage in meaningful endeavours instead of marketing a very bad product”, the statement added.
