Atiku Will Be Fair To Ndigbo

Former governor of Old Anambra State, Sen, Jim Nwobodo has assured that the presidency of Atiku Abubakar will be fair to Ndigbo of South-East Nigeria.

Newsonline reports that the former governor of Anambra State in the second republic made this known on Monday in Abuja.

Chief Jim Nwobodo, who hails from Enugu State, said under the presidency of Muhammadu Buhari Ndigbo suffered, stated that as a founding member of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, alongside Atiku Abubakar, he was sure of Atiku’s principle of love for Nigeria.

” Under Buhari the Igbos have suffered. Atiku is a Nigerian to the core and he has a keen and fair sense of justice and fair playing. You see, when you are dealing with somebody, you are picking him because he has a keen and fair sense of justice.” He said.

The Former Senator in the 1999 to 2003 National Assembly, who is also an elder member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo said contrary to the fears of Ndigbo on Atiku’s Presidency, he knows Atiku has love for Ndigbo.

Newsonline had reported the statement of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural organization in the South-East, not to allow the campaign of Atiku in the South-East.

Declaring the Peoples Democratic Party, as “Northern Party”, Ohanaeze said Ndigbo will ensure the PDP presidential candidate loses the 2023 general election. Read more

Chief Nwobodo in his Abuja residence said it was time Ndigbo supported Atiku, as Igbo presidency can only be guaranteed through Atiku and the PDP.

“You see, in party politics, there are always two big political parties, the Igbo presidency will come only through PDP.

“The presidency of Nigeria is a very complex thing, so we need somebody who is experienced, who has suffered and who has seen it all.

“Mind you, Atiku has been a vice president before, how many years ago and he did well. He tried the first time, it didn’t go through. He tried the second time, it didn’t go through, this time around he is trying and I believe it will go through.” Chief Jim stated.
