INEC has declared Makinde as the Winner of the Oyo Gubernatorial Election.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

NewsOnline<\/a><\/strong> reports that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has won in 31 out of the 33 local government areas in the state<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The gubernatorial election was held in all 33 local government areas of the state on Saturday.<\/p>\n

There were three major candidates in the election.<\/p>\n

They included Makinde, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Adebayo Adelabu of Accord.<\/p>\n

The election results also show that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin won in only two (2) local government areas.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With this development, there are indications that INEC will declare Makinde the winner of the election in due course.<\/p>\n

If declared the winner, Makinde will be the second governor to serve for two terms in the state.<\/p>\n

The first governor to serve for two terms was late Abiola Ajimobi who governed the state between 2011 and 2019.<\/p>\n
