Sowore has accused Wike of owning hidden properties in U.S. through wife’s name.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of secretly acquiring multiple properties in the United States through his wife.
In a post shared on his X account, Sowore alleged that Wike owns three properties in Winter Springs, Florida, which he claimed were registered under the name of Wike’s wife, Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, a serving judge at Nigeria’s Court of Appeal. According to him, the properties are also allocated among the couple’s children.

Contact With Florida Authorities
Sowore further disclosed that he had contacted the Office of the Florida Attorney General, James Uthmeier, to alert authorities about the matter. He accused Wike of laundering stolen public funds and using them to acquire real estate in the U.S.
“There may be even more properties, but we are making progress,” Sowore wrote, adding that he considers the alleged acquisitions to be first-class felonies under U.S. law.
Long-Running Criticism of Wike
The allegations are the latest in Sowore’s ongoing confrontation with prominent Nigerian politicians. Only days earlier, the activist had called for Wike to be tried by the International Criminal Court over alleged corruption and abuse of office.
At the time of filing this report, neither Wike nor his representatives had issued a response to the latest claims.
