Amaechi has claimed that Governor Wike is a drunk, and spends N50m every week on alcohol.

NewsOnline reports that the Former Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi has described the State Governor, Nyesom Wike as a drunk.

According to Amaechi, Wike spends N50 million on alcohol every week, insisting that the Governor is planning a third term in office through his stooge and governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Siminalayi Fubara.

Amaechi stated this on Tuesday when he campaigned for the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the state, Tonye Cole in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area ahead of March 18, 2023, governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.

The former governor cried out that the amount of State funds being wasted on alcohol alone by the governor was enough to start and complete projects that would be of huge benefit to the people of the state.

Amaechi said that he built primary schools during his time as governor with almost the equivalent of what Wike spends on alcohol in two weeks.

Amaechi, who claimed to have gotten this detail directly from Wike’s alcohol supplier, said that the people of the state are still celebrating him (Amaechi) today due to the good works he did in the state without coming out in public to insult anyone.

“The person Wike buys alcohol from said Wike spends N50million every week on alcohol. The primary schools we built is N112 million, it means that in two weeks Wike has drank one primary school,” Amaechi, a former minister of Transportation, said.

“When Wike talks, it is alcohol that is talking. And he’s so shameless about it. Wike told the whole world on live Tv that he was drinking a very expensive 40 year old whiskey, in the morning.

“We are asking INEC to be neutral. The people have rejected Wike and his government. Every street I went to, people were jumping on top of me shouting.”
