NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the federal government, through the Ministry of Interior, declares certain days as public holidays, which means that schools, businesses, banks, and government offices will be closed on these days.

In line with this, Monday, January 2 will be a public holiday in Nigeria as it is the day after New Year’s Day.

About Public Holidays

Some examples of public holidays in Nigeria include Independence Day, Labor Day, and Christmas.

These holidays are typically established by federal or state law, and they may vary from one region of the country to another.
