Primate Ayodele has cautioned President Buhari Government to “stop making noise about Nnamdi Kanu Rearrest“.

 

News Online reports that the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned President Muhammadu Buhari over the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The controversial Cleric noted that the noise on the arrest of Kanu by the Federal Government would give the IPOB leader unnecessary relevance.

In a statement by his Media Office made available for to News Online, the cleric said the arrest of Kanu would have a negative impact on Buhari’s administration.

 

He also warned that the action taken by the Nigerian government would have legal implications.

The statement reads partly: “The government should look at the legal implication of this. In fact, with how the government is celebrating his arrest, it will have a negative impact on President Buhari’s administration.

 

“They need to tread with caution and pay attention to the legal implications so that it will not be used against President Buhari administration.

 

“Arresting Nnamdi Kanu is not a pass mark for the government, making noise about this will only give him unnecessary relevance, IPOB will begin to give the government conditions that are unnecessary, his arrest is not worth celebrating at all but they should look at the legal implications.”

News Online understands that the embattled IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu was rearrested by the Nigerian government on Sunday and repatriated to the country.

 

Though the government was silent over where the IPOB leader was nabbed but his family members said Kanu was rearrested in Kenya.

 

The IPOB leader was repatriated to Nigeria to continue his trial before Justice Binta Nyako-led Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

On Tuesday, the court remanded him in custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, while adjourning the matter.
