NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to spend the Yuletide holidays, following official visits to Borno and Bauchi states.

The president had departed Abuja on Saturday on a three-state tour. In Borno State, Tinubu inaugurated a number of projects executed by Governor Babagana Zulum in partnership with the Federal Government.

While in Maiduguri, he also attended the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

Tinubu later proceeded to Bauchi State, where he paid a condolence visit to the state government and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the respected Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who died on November 27.

The president arrived in Lagos after the condolence visit and is expected to participate in several engagements during the holiday period. Among them is his scheduled attendance at the Eyo Festival on December 27 as guest of honour.

The festival, which will take place at Tafawa Balewa Square, will honour notable figures, including the president’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
