Peter Obi: 'Onaga Must Go' -Worshipers Protest Mbaka, Adoration Ban

Worshipers at the Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, on Sunday, protested the ban on Fr Ejike Mbaka Adoration ground, chanting ‘Onaga must go’.

Newsonline reports that the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Callistus Onaga, has been called to resign his position following the ban of religious activities at the Adoration ground.

Worshipers who took to the street at Emene, the site of Fr Mbaka adoration ground and Holy Ghost, the Bishop’s Court, disagreed with the bishop regarding the closure of the prayer ground.

Bishop Onaga had closed the prayer ground of Fr Mbaka following his stingy statement against Peter Obi, Labour Party, presidential candidate.

The worshipers with their placards with different inscriptions, including ‘Onaga Must Go’said stand with the spiritual director of the prayer ground, Fr Mbaka.

Fr Mbaka in his apology letter expressed regret for his statement against the two times former governor of Anambra State, who has enjoyed massive followership of youths across the country.

Fr Mbaka’s stingy comment also generated backlash from his colleague priest who described the prudent financial management of Peter Obi as what is needed to rescue Nigeria.

In a letter obtained by Newsonline, Fr Mbaka stated, “I am not in any political party but I support good people and good governance. Any good person that God can give us is my choice candidate. I am a servant of God; For the sake of peace, I ask for forgiveness in any way I am misunderstood. And to Peter Obi himself, I ask God to bless him and manifest his will in his life. When God says Yes, who can say No? And when God says No, who can say Yes? I bless Peter Obi and pray for him. I bless my dear fellow Adores and pray for them. I bless the people of God everywhere and I pray that it shall be well with you all.”
