The former Anambra State governor said his decision to join the ADC was driven by a commitment to transform and rescue Nigeria from its current challenges.

“We are ending this year with the hope that in 2026 we will begin a rescue journey,” Obi said.

He also pledged that the coalition would resist electoral malpractice in the 2027 polls, stressing that any attempt at rigging would be challenged through lawful means.

Obi further called on opposition leaders across the country to unite as one family under the leadership of former Senate President, David Mark, in a collective effort to rescue the nation.

Several prominent political figures attended the event, including David Mark, who is the National Chairman of the ADC; former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Tambuwal; former governors from the South-East; and other dignitaries.

Also present were former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha; Senators Ben Obi, Victor Umeh, Tony Nwoye, and Gilbert Nnaji; Chief Onyema Ugochukwu; Enyinnya Abaribe; Senator Sam Egwu; as well as several other senators and members of the House of Representatives.
