PDP Crisis: Fani Kayode Mocks Atiku Over Shekarau Defection

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode, has made a mockery of the recent defection of former Kano State governor, Ibrahim Shekarau to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Newsonline reports that Kayode who is a former PDP member before his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said Atiku should be worried and not celebrate the defection.

Fani Kayode who likened Ibrahim Shekarau to Abubakar Shakau, a terrorist, said Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the PDP should be more worried that Nyesom Wike was not happy with the welcoming of Shekarau to the PDP.

The former minister remanded Atiku and he has more to worry about concerning Wike, Ugwuannyi, and Makinde who represent the voting blocs of the South-South, South-East, and South-West.

He added that Wike description of Shekarau defection to the PDP as a coming back “to loot and eat the remaining one” showed that the PDP would not win the coming election.

Kayode added that the reaction of Wike would be of advantage to the winning of the ruling APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and the vice-presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima.

“As PDP is celebrating the defection of Abubakar Shekau (Oops! Sorry, I meant Ibrahim Shekarau) into their party in Kano yesterday, Nyesome Wike flogged them mercilessly and gave them a death blow in PH by saying they wanted to come back “to loot” and “eat the remaining one.”

He added, “The mighty triumvirate of Wike, Ugwuanyi and Makinde, (representing SS, SE & SW) is the backbone of PDP. Without them PDP is NOTHING! With Wike’s damning speech Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our much-loved “City Boy” and Kashim Shettima, the “Golden Boy” of Nigeria politics, are cruising home to victory. They should start preparing their acceptance and swearing-in speeches today.”

Newsonline had reported that Bola Tinubu had made several attempts to woo the former governor of Kano State who was a former member of the APC but failed.

According to Shekarau’s Media Aids, Yau Sule, Shekarau was not ready to go back to the ruling APC,.
