David Adeleke, the popular hip-hop singer, known as Davido, has slammed the governor of Osun state, Gboeyega Oyetola, describing him as a bad human being.

Newsonline reports that Davido’s latest outburst was in reaction to the refusal of the incumbent governor of Osun, Oyetola to congratulate Adeleke, the governor-elect.

Not only did Oyetola refuse to congratulate, Oyetola, the state governor and the All Progressives Congress (APC) Osun State also filed a suit challenging the victory of Ademola Adeleke at the July 16 governorship election.

The African hip-hip artist added that his uncle, the governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will be sworn in on November 27, and will also contest to finish his second tenure.

He said, “Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke will be sworn in on November 27, he will finish his 4 years. if God tarries and the good people of Osun like his style of governance, he will do another 4 years making it a total of 8 years. Don’t let noise of those grappling at straws distract you.

Describing the incumbent governor, Davido wrote further on his Twitter handle, “Your actually just a bad human being Gboyega Oyetola, no other way to put it spreading lies everywhere destroying your legacy (not like you even have) … it’s done and dusted @inecnigeria. Abeg is there any such thing as overvoting with your new BVAS Machine? NOV 27th WE MOVE !!”

While Oyetola and the state APC hope that the Court of Tribunal would rule in their favour, President Muhammadu Buhari has over times referred the Osun 16 governorship election as free, fair and credible and in line with his promise to leave a good legacy in the country’s political process.

President Buhari in his congratulatory message said, “I congratulate Senator Ademola Adeleke, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), on his victory in the Osun gubernatorial election. The people of Osun have expressed their will through the ballot. This is what democracy is all about: respect for the will of the people.

“The successful conduct of #OsunDecides2022 is a demonstration of the maturity and the commitment of all stakeholders, towards strengthening the integrity of the electoral process in Nigeria.”

The President added further, “I remain fully committed to leaving behind a legacy of credible elections in Nigeria.”
