Osimhen has joined Galatasaray on loan after a failed Chelsea deal.

NewsOnline Nigeria gathered that Napoli have reportedly agreed to a deal for Victor Osimhen to join Turkey’s Galatasaray on a season-long loan.

According to SkyItalia, Galatasaray are expected to “pay the full salary” of Osimhen during the loan spell, but the club will not be obligated to buy the striker once the season is over.

The Italian sports news outlet added that Aurelio De Laurentiis, the owner of Napoli, has given the “go-ahead” to the deal and “the player side has also given the green light to the operation”.

However, Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist, said while Napoli have accepted the deal, Osimhen is yet to decide on the move.

He added that the Galatasaray delegation will meet with the Super Eagles striker in the next few hours to finalise the deal.

Although the summer transfer window has closed in most European countries, the market remains active in Turkey until September 13.

Osimhen has been ostracised from the Napoli squad following his desire to exit the club during the just-concluded transfer window.

The interest of Chelsea and Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli in signing the 25-year-old and Napoli axed him from its squad for the 2024/25 Serie A season.

Several Super Eagles players have taken to social media to support Osimhen amid the transfer saga.
