1. Gunmen have reportedly invaded a mosque at Soyoye, in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, where they kidnapped an Inspector of Police and two other worshippers. A source said the abductors had contacted the families of the victims, demanding N5 million ransom for each victim.
2. The police in Lagos have dragged a man, Akin Isaac, before an Ikeja Special Offences Court, for allegedly impregnating his 20-year-old biological daughter. Aside from impregnating his daughter, the accused also forced her to abort the pregnancy.
3. Hoodlums have attacked Amichi Divisional Police Headquarters in Nnewi South LGA and others in Anambra State. The attack came barely 24 hours after the administrative headquarters of Nnewi South LGA was attacked leaving two people dead.
4. Sheikh Nuru Khalid, Chief Imam of Apo Legislative Quarters Mosque, Abuja, who was suspended for speaking against the government, has said he was unperturbed about the suspension, adding that he learnt about his suspension in the media.
