Newsonline reports that Tinubu stated that his party is focused on solving the country’s problems and has laid a strong foundation that will guarantee their victory come next year’s general election.
Bola Tinubu disclosed this yesterday (Sunday) in Daura, President Buhari’s country home while addressing newsmen.
Answering questions on why the visit to President Buhari’s hometown Tinubu stated he was in Daura to inform the president of his running mate Kashim Shettima.
While speaking about his ability to win the next election with a Muslim-Muslim ticket, Tinubu stated, “we are going to win, Insha Allah, because we are a progressive party, we have the focus on Nigeria problems, and we face the challenges squarely. we are not running away from it.
“We have a better plan for the people. With a short period of time, there has been a good foundation on infrastructure.
“We face challenges of terrorism, we know that it is only a poor thinker and observer will not recognize the challenge, but once you recognize the challenge you can prepare yourself very well to tackle it and defeat it.
Tinubu said he, “chose Kashim Shetiima because he is competent, reliable, capable and able.”
Since Tinubu’s announcement of former Borno State governor as his running mate, critics have condemned the fielding of Muslim-Muslim tickets by the ruling All Progressive Congress.
Opposition parties are arguing that the decision of APC is against fairness, equity, and the Christian population of the country.
