Governor Uzodimma’s Election

Governor Hope Uzodimma has failed to name sponsors of Imo crises.

NewsOnline understands that expectations were dashed on Tuesday as Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma failed to name those behind the spate of insecurity in the state.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, had raised anticipation in a statement on Sunday.

He said the governor would use the occasion of the sixth edition of the Imo stakeholders forum on Tuesday to name those who are sponsors and financiers of insecurity in the state.

The governor had also said late last year that he would name the crises sponsors early this year.

But hopes were dashed when Uzodimma opted against naming anyone as a crisis sponsor during the meeting.

He said Imo people should exercise patience to allow the security agencies to complete their work and possibly prosecute those implicated.

He said his only problem with Senator Rochas Okorocha was that the former governor probably thought he was still in charge of the state.
