JUST IN: Peter Obi Gets VP, Doyin Okupe Submits Withdrawal Letter

Peter Obi  Labour Party presidential candidate has gotten a vice-presidential candidate for the 2023 general election.

 

Newsonline reports that Doyin Okupe, the placeholder VP announced that he has submitted a withdrawal letter as the running mate for Peter Obi.

 

Peter Obi and Labour Party had submitted the name of Doyin Okupe, a former aide to ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo and the Director-General Peter Obi campaign organization.

 

Doyin Okupe in a statement said, “This afternoon I submitted my withdrawal letter from the position of the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party to INEC.”

 

Doyin stated that the National Chairman of the Labour Party shall make further revelations.

 

Doyin said, “A replacement will be announced by d national chairman of d party shortly. I feel greatly blessed to have been part of the foundation of success for the LP.”
