JUST IN: DSS Speaks On Arresting ‘Missing’ Father Mbaka

DSS has spoken on arresting the alleged missing Father Mbaka.

News Online reports that the Department for State Security (DSS), says the “missing” Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry (AMEN), Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, is not in their custody.

News Online understands that controversial Catholic priest has been in the news after he asked Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari to resign. This was followed by a revelation by the presidency that he was attacking Buhari because he was refused a contract.

 

Days after Father Mbaka attacked President Buhari, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has now claimed that the Catholic priest is missing.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council in a statement issued by the President-General of OYC, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, said Mbaka was last seen on Tuesday, adding that every effort to trace him had failed.

 

According to the report, a protest is presently ongoing in front of Catholic Bishop’s court in Enugu where Mbaka supporters gathered, chatting and asking Bishop Callistus Onaga to produce Fr. Mbaka.

Father Mbaka was said to have got missing two days ago after he reportedly went to see the Bishop.

Speaking on the purported missing of Father Mbaka, DSS Spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, “Rev Fr Mbaka is not with the DSS. The DSS did not pick him up, please.”

 

Meanwhile, News Online understands that the development is coming after that the Federal government had alleged that some religious and political leaders were planning to overthrow the Mohammadu Buhari-led government.
