Johnny Depp Wins Defamation Case Against Amber Heard, Ex-Wife To Pay Him $15m

Johnny Depp has won a defamation case against Amber Heard as the court orders his ex-wife to pay him $15m.

 

 

Newsonline reports that American movie star, Johnny Depp, has won the defamation case against his former wife, Amber Heard.

 

This brings to an end the six-week court case.

 

The jury has awarded Depp $15m in damages.

 

Heard has also won part of her libel case against Depp over articles, in which her claims of domestic abuse were described as a hoax.

 

The jury has awarded Heard $2m in damages.

 

The seven-person jury Wednesday, deliberated for 12 hours after being sent out to consider their verdicts on Friday.

 

The verdict was met with screams outside the court and chants of “Johnny, Johnny, Johnny”.
