Isaac Oyedepo’s exit from Living Faith Church has sparked major controversy.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, a son of Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, commonly known as Winners Chapel, has taken a significant step in his spiritual journey.

Having served as a pastor at the Living Faith Church in the United States, he was asked to return to Nigeria by his father, Bishop David Oyedepo, and take up a ministerial role within the Nigerian branch of the church. This decision raised questions about the dynamics of leadership and succession within the church.

The intrigue deepened when Isaac Oyedepo was appointed as the Global Youth Pastor of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, a role of significance within the ministry.

In response, speculations began to swirl, with some suggesting that Isaac’s choice to venture out on his own may signify a more unconventional and business-oriented approach to his ministry.

A video featuring Bishop David Oyedepo passionately urged General Overseers to clearly define the terms of succession and leadership transition in their churches has gone viral and is now a topic of discussion. He emphasized that “handing over the church to your son/daughter is not Ministry.” He also added that ‘Ministry/Anointing is not genetic’, to further buttress his point he gave an example of Biblical Characters Moses and Joshua.
