The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has promised Nigerians he will create one million jobs in 24 months if elected in 2023 election.
Newsonline reports that Tinubu said his economic plan will ensure that companies that left the country due to bad economic policies will return when he takes over as the president of the country in 202 if elected.
This he said will happen as he intends to make the country an investor-friendly country for private sectors to flourish.
The former Lagos State governor, Tinubu, stated that companies like Dunlop which left the country following an unfair business environment and other multi-nationals corporations that left the country would come back.
Former Lagos Deputy Governor Otunba Femi Pedro stated this in Abuja when he explained the manifesto of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a one-day symposium on behalf of the APC presidential candidate.
According to Pedro,” Tinubu has 12 key economic points to get Nigeria out of the current economic doldrums. Other key economic activities that Tinubu will implement, he said, include: to bring back manufacturing companies like Dunlop that left the country many years ago; resuscitate the commodity boards; empower women; expanding infrastructure provision and curtail the run-away inflation.”
The APC presidential candidate has been in the news since Tuesday, for an alleged heroin case he committed in the United States.
Tinubu’s Spokesmen, Bayo Onanuga and Festus Keyamo, have in media clarifications said the former Lagos State governor was free from the allegation of drugs trafficking and money laundering charges against him.
According to Keyamo, the forfeiture of over a million dollars to the United States government by Tinubu was a tax payment to the US government.
According to Onanuga, the alleged heroin case is being brought back to life after the US government had cleared Tinubu in the 90s of any wrongdoing. He added that the allegation was product of the opposition parties that could not see anything to nail the leading presidential candidate.
Onanuga said the allegation and the US court documents which have been trending on social media since Tuesday were products of mischief makers, which is dead as a doodle.
