Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari’s last post on X before his death has surfaced.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who died on Sunday, had posted a tweet on his X account regarding the passing of renowned Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, also known as Aminu Dantata.

 

Recall that Buhari died at a London clinic where he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.

On June 28, 2025, Buhari, via his X account, posted a statement mourning Dantata, who died at the age of 94.

Buhari said Dantata “leaves behind a monumental legacy in philanthropy and entrepreneurship that reshaped the lives of people and business settings in the country and beyond.”

 

Recall that Dantata reportedly died around 3 am Nigerian time on Saturday, June 28 this year, at a hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, after a brief illness.

 

Meanwhile, Buhari will be buried in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, on Monday.

 

President Bola Tinubu has already mourned the passing of his predecessor.

 

Tinubu also dispatched Vice President Kashim Shettima to London immediately after the sad news.
