FG, States, LGs Share N2.001trn July 2025 Revenue

Gross statutory revenue received for July stood at N3.070 trillion, lower by N415.108 billion compared to the N3.485 trillion recorded in June.

FAAC has shared N2.001trn July 2025 Revenue to FG, States, and LGs.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of N2.001 trillion among the three tiers of government as revenue for July 2025. The allocation was made during FAAC’s August 2025 meeting held in Abuja.

According to a communiqué issued by the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the distributable revenue comprised:

  • Statutory revenue – N1.282 trillion

  • Value Added Tax (VAT) – N640.610 billion

  • Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) – N37.601 billion

  • Exchange Difference – N39.745 billion

Revenue Performance

Gross statutory revenue received for July stood at N3.070 trillion, lower by N415.108 billion compared to the N3.485 trillion recorded in June.

VAT collections rose to N687.940 billion in July, higher than the June figure of N678.165 billion by N9.775 billion.

Breakdown of N2.001trn Distributable Revenue

  • Federal Government: N735.081 billion

  • State Governments: N660.349 billion

  • Local Government Councils: N485.039 billion

  • Derivation (13% of mineral revenue): N120.359 billion

Statutory Revenue (N1.282trn)

  • FG: N613.805 billion

  • States: N311.330 billion

  • LGs: N240.023 billion

  • Derivation: N117.714 billion

VAT (N640.610bn)

  • FG: N96.092 billion

  • States: N320.305 billion

  • LGs: N224.214 billion

EMTL (N37.601bn)

  • FG: N5.640 billion

  • States: N18.801 billion

  • LGs: N13.160 billion

Exchange Difference (N39.745bn)

  • FG: N19.544 billion

  • States: N9.913 billion

  • LGs: N7.643 billion

  • Derivation: N2.643 billion

Sectoral Revenue Trends

The communiqué further disclosed that revenue from Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Oil and Gas Royalty, EMTL, and Excise Duty recorded significant increases in July. VAT and Import Duty grew marginally, while Companies Income Tax (CIT) and CET levies declined.
