EPL: Referee Tierney Opens Up On Arsenal Disallowed Goal Vs Man United

The referee told Arteta that the decision to disallow the first half goal against Manchester United was ‘soft’.

Newsonline report that Arsenal thought they had taken the lead when Martin Odegaard snatched the ball from Christian Eriksen and nudged it towards Bukayo Saka.

Saka played a perfect through ball to set Martinelli away and the Brazilian forward made no mistake in finding a perfect corner.

United’s players surrounded the referee and when the official was encouraged by VAR to visit the pitch side monitor to watch the incident involving Odegaard and Eriksen the outcome was inevitable.
