El-Rufai has alleged that Uba Sani and Nuhu Ribadu plotted his ‘abduction’ over DSS Airport Incident.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has alleged that his successor, Governor Uba Sani, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, held a meeting where it was decided that he should be “abducted.”
El-Rufai made the claim on Friday during an appearance on Prime Time, a programme on Arise Television.
His comments come a day after operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) reportedly attempted to arrest him at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

According to the former governor, the alleged move against him was premeditated.
“The National Security Adviser, the governor of Kaduna State and the Chairman of ICPC met, and they decided that I must be abducted today,” he said.
El-Rufai distinguished between what he described as a lawful arrest and what he termed abduction.
“Arrest has a legal meaning. It is a lawful activity backed by a warrant. Under the Police Act, the police can arrest without a warrant, but every other agency must go before a judge to obtain a warrant,” he stated.
“So when you try to take a person without a valid order, it is abduction,” he added.
The allegations follow ongoing tensions surrounding the former governor, who has recently faced invitations from anti-corruption agencies. Authorities have yet to publicly respond to the claims.
