Dogara’s Mother, Mama Saratu Yakubu Tukur Laid To Rest In Bauchi

Dogara’s Mother, Mama Saratu Yakubu Tukur has been laid to rest in Bauchi State.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former Speaker of the 8th National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara (CFR), on Saturday, 24th February 2024, laid his mother to rest at Gwarangah Village in Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

 

Late Mama Saratu Yakubu Tukur died on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the age of 103 years after a brief illness.

 

The burial ceremony of the deceased was held at the COCIN Centre in Gwarangah, Bogoro LGA of Bauchi State and was attended by ex-President Buhari, represented by the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Senate President Godswill Akpabio; National Assembly Speaker Tajudeen Abbas; principal officers of the National Assembly; lawmakers; captains of industries; gospel music celebrities; traditional leaders; and many Nigerians from all walks of life.

 

Other dignitaries included the Governor of Niger State, Mohammad Umar Baggo; representatives of governors of Kaduna State and Plateau; former Governor of Bauchi State Isa Yuguda; ex-deputies of Kogi, Gombe, and Nasarawa; former SGF Babachir Lawal; former speakers Dimeji Bankole and Aminu Tambuwal; ex-Minister of Women Affairs Paulen Tallen; second republic minister Bello Kirfi; Rt. Hon. Asita Honourable, former Member of the 8th National Assembly; former Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai; Chief of Defence Staff Senator Hamman Misau; Over two hundred former lawmakers and many other prominent personalities.
