Day Two of Nigerians’ Protest Against Bad Governance, Hunger (Live Videoes, Photos)

Day Two of Nigerians’ Protest against bad governance and hunger has kicked off across states of the federation. NewsOnline Nigeria will be bringing you all the updates live and direct.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that day one of the protest was mixed across the country with many northern States experiencing violence, looting, vandalism and killings, while states in the South saw largely peaceful protests.

 

Kano, Yobe and Borno States declared a 24-hour curfew to curb the violence that they experienced on day 1.

 

After a first day of trooping to the screens to vent their displeasure with the government of President Bola Tinubu, Nigerians are back on the streets again today.

 

Kick-off point is Freedom Park, Ojota, Lagos, where placard-carrying protesters have been gathered since 8am.

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force on Friday reportedly fired teargas canisters at #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters in Abuja.

Reports obtained by Naija News revealed that protesters assembled at the popular Berger roundabout in Abuja today to continue their protest against the economic hardship in the country, which commenced on Thursday, August 1.

However, journalists covering the protest were not spared on Friday as security operatives tear-gassed at various locations where the protesters had gathered


#EndBadGovernance protesters in Lagos have converged at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park, Ojota, Lagos to continue their demonstrations.

There is heavy police presence at the scene of the protest.



Protesters have started gathering at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota Lagos to resume day 2 of the #EndbadgovernanceinNigeria protest.
