Charley Boy Announces Date He Will Hold Rally For Peter Obi

Charles Oputa, popularly called Charley Boy has announced that he would hold a sensitization rally for the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

 

Newsonline reports that the 71-year-old Nigerian singer-songwriter said his rally will be the biggest rally for the Anambra State former governor who is contesting against established political platforms.

 

Charley Boy stated this on Thursday after he publicly declared his support on AIT TV Kakaki morning show for Peter Obi who is contesting against Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); and Bola Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

 

Charley who disclosed that the rally will take place in this month tweeted on his Twitter handle:

 

“Hummmm, finally on Kakaki today, I publicly endorsed Peter Obi.

 

“Before dis month runs out I would stage the biggest rally ever.

 

“Who’s with me on the rally?”

On August 31, Area fada and the convener of our Mumu Don Do praised the energy of Peter Obi in reaching out to Nigerians in the diaspora across Europe and America.

 

“Dis Peter Obi be me like mtn, he’s everywhere.

 

“How does he do it?

 

“E come visit me for morning by evening he’s in London, before I can even say Obi, he’s in Germany.
Only to be told em don waka go Canada the next day.”
