Champions League: Klopp Slams Liverpool Stars Over 4-1 Defeat To Napoli

Klopp’s men were thrashed 4-1 in Napoli and would have been worse if not for Victor Osimhen’s missed penalty and it summed up the Red’s lacklustre start to the campaign.

Newsonline report that though the German boss suffered some heavy defeats during the early days of his reign at Anfield, he recognised the defeat in Naples as all there more surprising.

“It was a real horror show. It was the worst game we played since I have been here. Some will point at games against Aston Villa for example,” Klopp told Liverpool’s official website.

“But in those games, there were glimpses of us, but in this one there was nothing. We have to understand why.

“We met with the players, I watched the Napoli game a lot and we saw horrors. The players knew as well.

“Eight out of the eleven were below the level that they normally play.”
